HARDY--Died at Avon, N.Y., Mrs. Kittie HARDY, aged __4 years. She is
survived by her husband, George H. and one son, Alfred HARDY.

street, on Wednesday, December 16, 1925, Martha A. HICKS, aged 96 years.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Charles S. ALDEN, one son, Samuel A.
HICKS, three grandchildren, Arthur and Robert W. HICKS and Gertrude STURGE.

BLYTH--Mrs. Janet BLYTH, late of Scotland, aged 60 years, died Wednesday
morning, December 16, 1925 at the home of Mrs. James WILSON, Seville Drive, Stop

TAYLOR of this city. Funeral Saturday afternoon, Dec. 19, 1925 at 2:30 o'clock
from the home of Mrs. James WILSON, Seville drive. Interment in Riverside

HANDT--Entered into rest on Thursday morning, Mrs. Lillian HANDT, aged 34 years.
She is survived by her husband, Paul HANDT, one daughter Gertrude HANDT, one son
Ralph HANDT, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred MEYER. Funeral services will
be held on Saturday at 2:00 o'clock from her late home. No. 195 Fourth street.

KESBY--Mrs. Estella KESBY, aged 66. She leaves besides her husband, Wm. H.

MALERK--Henry J. MALERK, aged 26 years of Delaware avenue, Brighton, N.Y. died
Tuesday afternoon, December 16, 1925 at the Highland Hospital. He is
survived by his wife Nellie M. AINSWORTH MALERK, one son Jack MALERK, four
sisters, Mrs. Rose Johnson, Mrs. Frank FOX, Mrs. Jack ZEITVELEL and Mrs. Ray
SEIDEWAND, three brothers, Otto MALERK and Joseph and Peter Stephan.
Deceased was a member of Rochester Lodge No. 113, L.O.O. M. Funeral
Saturday morning, December 18, 1925 at 8:30 o'clock from 120 Pigeon street and
at 9 o'clock from Holy Family Church.

and at 9 o'clock at the St. Francis Xavier Church. Solemn mass of requiem
was celebrated by Rev. George J. WEINMANN. The last blessing at the grave
was given by Rev. John F. HOGAN. The bearers were Joseph and Arthur
NELDINGER, Albert and Joseph WIEGEL and George and Frank ZORN. Interment
was made in the family lot at Holy Sepulchre cemetery.

at her home in Clover street, Pittsford. Rev. William L. DAVIS, minister
of Christ Episcopal Church, Pittsford, officiated. The bearers were Frank

A. TAYLOR and George H. TAYLOR. Members of the Pittsford Northfield
Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, and Pittsford Grange attended the funeral.

Funeral services for Francis J. SLATTERY, World war veteran who died at Saranac
Lake, took place yesterday morning at 8:45 o'clock at No. 163 State street, and
at 9 o'clock at Our Lady Chapel, St. Patrick's Cathedral. Solemn mass of requiem
was celebrated by Rev. Charles F. SHAY. The last blessing at the grave was
pronounced by Rev. John F. HOGAN. The bearers were Frank HANNEBERGER, Donald

made at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary HINE took place yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock
at the home, No. 827 Genesee Park boulevard. Rev. Willis A. STACKHOUSE, minister
of Trinity Methodist Church, officiated. Immediate members of the family acted
as bearers. Interment was made in Mount Hope cemetery.
WOMAN SWALLOWS POISON, MAY DIE
Mrs. Mary SIGGIA, 32 years old of No. 22 Woodward street, was in a critical
condition last night in the Homeopathic Hospital following an attempt to kill
herself yesterday morning by taking bichloride of mercury tablets according to
the police. No reason was given for the act.
ENDS LIFE BY GAS.
Edward SATPELTON, 49 years old, a waiter, rooming at No. 354 Court street,
committed suicide in his room yesterday morning by inserting a tube attached to
an open gas jet in his mouth. He was discovered by other occupants of the house.
Police were unable to find any motive for the act of any one who knew
SATPELTON's relatives.

Ridgway avenue. She leaves five brothers, James, of Bergen, Patrick, of
Buffalo, Wyo., Mathew of Medina, John J. and Thomas KAVANAUGH of this city and
two sisters, Mrs. Katherine M. PIKE and Mrs. Thomas J. MCKEON, both of this
city.
Harriet DURFEE died yesterday at the Rochester Friendly Home.
MRS. HICKS BURIED IN MOUNT HOPE PLOT
Funeral services for Mrs. Martha A. HICKS took place yesterday afternoon at 2
o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles S. ALDEN, No. 40 Meigs
street. Rev. Arthur W. BRIGDEN, assistant minister of the Third
Presbyterian Church, officiated. Immediate members of the family acted as
bearers. Interment was made in Mount Hope cemetery.
Mrs. HICKS recently celebrated her 96th birthday at the home of her daughter
where she had lived for the past forty years. She came here from Cohoes,
where she was born, and was the widow of Norbury HICKS. She was a member
of the old St. Peter's Presbyterian Church and later became a member of the
Third Presbyterian Church. Besides her daughter, she leaves a son, Samuel
A. HICKS, and three grandchildren.
SERVICE CONDUCTED FOR JOHN PEACOCK
Funeral services for John W. PEACOCK, veteran celery grower, took place
yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home in Garden street, Irondequoit and
at 2:30 o'clock at the United Congregational Church. The bearers were
Theodore and George PEACOCK, Frank and John PLATT and Almon and Avery
HILL. Members of the Flower City Maccabees and many close friends attended
the services at the church. Interment was made in Irondequoit cemetery.

Funeral services of Allan SPENCER, one of the oldest residents of Greece, will
take place to-morrow afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home in Maiden Lane
road. Interment will be made in Greece. Mr. SPENCER was 83 years old
and made his home in Greece for the past fifty years. He was born in
Hamlin. He leaves a daughter, Miss Minnie SPENCER.
