The Newport History Center
is located in one of the historic limestone buildings in the Village of Newport. We collect antique objects, books, documents and genealogical information from 1790 to the present day. The Newport History Center is usually open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. If you need historical information about Newport for a school report or you are researching your genealogy or the history of your house, contact us and one of our volunteers will be glad to help you. If you are traveling to do research in Newport, please call ahead (315-845-8434) so we can find material in our collection before you arrive that will make your visit worthwhile.
