BONFIELD

I am trying to find details of two of the brothers of my great grandfather who emigrated to the USA in the late 1800's. They were William Hockey BONFIELD (born 1861) and Walter BONFIELD (born 1868). The family were from Chardstock in Dorset/Devon in England. William Hockey BONFIELD emigrated in 1876 to Utica or Boonville, New York state, with a distant relative, another William BONFIELD. Walter BONFIELD followed his older brother, to the USA, sometime after 1881, and was last heard of as a gardener in the Niagara Falls area. A letter from William to his sister, Alice, of about 1910, said that he had lost all trace of Walter. Any other information on William and Walter would be appreciated, especially Walter, as it is not known if he married, and therefore, he may have descendants alive today. Any help or information would be most appreciated. Robert Newton
