I believe that my grandmother had an aunt, Nora MACINTOSH, who was married to an Angus MACINTOSH. At the time of her death in 1933, Nora and Angus were living in Niagara Falls (NY). I do not know the year of her birth and believe that her maiden name was CASEY. Perhaps Angus was an Anglican minister. I am hoping that someone may have a link to this family. I am trying to bring the Casey family to completion - March 2000

I am researching my great great great grandfather, John MAPES. He was born about 1780 in Orange County, New York. He moved to Niagara County at some point. He last appeared in the 1860 census (Town of Lockport) at age 78, living with his wife, Elizabeth. Family legend states that Elizabeth's maiden name was "CARNEY". John and Elizabeth had numerous children, including my great great grandmother, Eliza MAPES. I have extensive information about Eliza's descendants.

I am seeking any information on Charles MARQUART, Caroline, Frederick and Fredericke MARQUART who lived in East Porter, 1858, Charles substituted for Samuel Clark, 1864 in Civil War killed coming home at New Rochelle in train accident August 11, 1865. Would there be a Newspaper report? Caroline moved with five children to Jefferson City, MO. Caroline married Adam FRITZ, was he from Niagara county? Frederick, Fredericke and at least one son William are lost track of, did they remain in East Porter? I have seen the 1865 census of Porter and there is a Fredericke listed in 1875. There may be more as I didn't have enough time when I visited Lockport, NY. There may also be a connection with Filmore Chapel, I hope to return to do more research in Sept 1998. The name has been spelled many ways since 1880--in Missouri it has been "MARKWAY." Any help appreciated, Michael MARKWAY.
