This Indenture Made the Twenty third day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty three between Benjamin Griffin Junior and Parmelia his wife of Onondaga of the first part and Sterling Cole of the same place of the second part Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Eight hundred dollars to them in hand paid by the said party of the second part the receipt whereof is hereby confessed and acknowledged have granted bargained sold remised released aliened and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell remise release alien and confirm unto the said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns forever All that certain tract or parcel of land being part of lot Number One hundred and seventy nine in the late Onondaga Reservation and is bounded as follows Beginning on the south line of said lot at the south east corner of land owned by Stephen Griffin and on the center of the highway thence east sixteen chains and eighty links thence north eight chains and ninety two links thence west nine chains and six links thence north seventeen chains and twenty five links thence west five chains seventy nine links thence north two chains and seventy five links thence west three chains and fifty links thence south twenty chains thence east one chain and fifty four links thence south eight chains and ninety two links to the place of beginning containing Thirty-two acres of land. Together with all and singular the hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents issues and profits thereof and all the estate right title interest claim and demand whatsoever of the said party of the first part either in law or equity of in and to the above bargained premises with the said hereditaments and appurtenances to have and to hold the said premises above described to the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns to be the sole and only proper use benefit and _________ of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever and the said Benjamin Griffin Junior of the first part for himself heirs executors and administrators doth covenant grant bargain and agree to and with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns that the party of the first part is lawfully seized of the premises aforesaid and hath good right to convey the same in manner aforesaid and the ______________ claim of all liens charges incumbrances whatsoever and that the above bargained premises on the quiet and peaceable possession of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns against all and every person or persons lawfully claiming or to claim the whole or any part thereof he will forever warrant and defend except as against the Mortgage to the People of the State on said lot which the Grantee takes upon himself to pay on this part of the lot. In Witness whereof the parties of the first part have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written Benjamin Griffin {L.S.} Parmelia Griffin {L.S.} Sealed and delivered in the presence of State of New York ss. On this 23 day of February 1833 before me came Benjamin Griffin Junior to me personally known to be the Grantor described in and who executed the within deed and acknowledged that he executed the same voluntarily. Also came before me Parmelia Griffin his wife, and acnowledged on a separate _______ apart and private from her husband that she executed the same voluntarily without any fear or compulsion from her husband. Also came before me Abraham H. Bradley a person to me well known and being by me duly sworn saith that he well knows the said Parmelia Griffin to be the wife of Benjamin Griffin Junior and the said person described as one of the Grantors in and who executed said deed and further that he lives in the town of Onondaga.
