Pamela,

I really enjoyed seeing your Onondaga Home Page. My roots are from the early days of Onondaga Co. My 3rd ggf, William ROSE had married Mary DE WITT, in 1774 in New Windsor Pres. Ch, Orange Co., NY. Her family included Moses De WITT, the person DEWITT, NY was named for. My wife and I spent some time in Syracuse in '93 and found his grave along the Jamesville Rd. with the historic marker by the side of the road. It was a pretty sad site at that time, not well kept and difficult to view.

William and Mary's son Nathan settled in Syracuse and owned the property later known as Oakwood Cemetery. The family graves were the first graves moved into the cemetery from the family cemetery. They are all located near the old entrance to the cemetery. There are some fifty of my ROSE family plots in the Oakwood Cemetery.

I have sent you a couple of queries in separate messages which I would like you to include in the Home Page.
