civil war veteran dies. charles clark, 73, passes away at home
in castle street. charles s. clark, 75 [note - both ages appear in obit]
a veteran of the civil war, died shortly after 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon
at his home, no. 423 east castle street. he had been in ill health a long
time. mr. clark is survived by his widow, mrs. ellen l. clark; one sister
miss minnie clark; two brothers, george n. and h.h. clark, and his mother
mrs. sarah russell. root post no. 151 g.a.r., will conduct funeral services
at the family home at 2:30 o'clock monday afternoon. burial will be in
oakwood cemetary.
