Winchester Hotel

Where the Winchester Hotel stands in West Washington Street to-day, was formerly a wholesale clothing factory.  Across the road and down at Franklin Street was the Friendly Inn, rather a novel idea in hotels for women, but that sort of a hotel did not have very lasting qualities.
