Scriba, N.Y. This cemetery list was generously contributed by Elizabeth Knauss. The original is a typewritten list and can be seen at the Oswego City Library. The original has what appears to be some typos, but as I can't visit the cemetary to confirm, I have transcribed it as is. The preamble is of interst to me, Joseph Underwood Bloodis one of my ancestors, in addition to Willet Hall. Joseph is buried in the Klock's Corners cemetary. (*Note:
There is no date when this cemetery reading was taken, but its stated the
records were obtained from a Mrs. Boigeal and copied by Beulah S. Schroeder
in September 1975, who may have written the history on the cemetery.

Located on Hall Road, Town of Scriba, Oswego County, New York. A meeting was held at the School House in District No. 9 of the Town of Scriba on the Fifth of December 1848 at 6 P.M., for the purpose of the organization of a local Cemetery, agreeable to an Act authorizing the Incorporation of Rural Association, passed April 1847. The following persons were present at the said meeting: Josiah Webb, J. U. Blood, Zachariah Allport, Erastus W. Kellogg, Isaac Dubois, Samuel Dubois, Benjamin Hall, William R. Hall, Amasa Jones, Elias Himes, Daniel Gordon, Elijah Drury and others proceeded to business by Resolving unanimously that Josiah Webb serve as chairman. Resolved that J. U. Blood serve as secretary. Resolved that the Association be called the South Road Rural Cemetery. Resolved that the annual meeting for the election of Trustees shall be held on the second Tuesday of October annually. Josiah Webb, Chairman, Joseph U. Blood, Secretary. This cemetery is located on the Hall Road about 300 feet northwest of the "Lamb Turkey Farm" poultry house. At one time, it could be seen from the Hall Road but trees and scrub have grown up so that is all that can be seen. In the past years Mr. & Mrs. William Boigeal spent many hours cleaning up and trying to maintain the cemetery. Is from Mrs. Boigeal that these records were obtained. It is noted that there seems to have been 90 lots taken and paid for between 1842 and 1872, prices ranging from $1.75, $2.00, $3.50 to $4.00 depending upon the size. Said burial ground contained 112 square rods. Burials in the South Road Rural Cemetery: Atkinson, Clarissa, wife of
