Obituary of Olive Bullock Button
Northern Christian Advocate - April 1, 1886

Mrs. Olive BUTTON, wife of Horace Button, died January 1, 1886, at the residence of her son David, in Vermillion, Oswego County, New York, aged 68 years.  Sister Button was converted at the age of sixteen years.  During the half century she had been a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church she had been a "lively member" of the same, possessing profound conceptions of Christian duty, privilege and graces, together with a faith that brought to her a "great salvation."  These combined to make her a power in the church and a cheering light in the home.  Her last years were years of great suffering, and yet "the Lord did not forsake her."  Her aged husband and several children and grandchildren, most of whom she had seen born into the kingdom, receive a most precious legacy, the memory and example of a ripe Christian experience to be their guiding star, whose genial rays will forevermore proclaim "The good die not."          M. W. CHASE
