In August of 2000 Carmela Iulianello (Pointer #1235) opened her home to Rochester area POINT researchers. POINT stands for “Pursuing Our Italian Names Together”. Along with Carmela and her husband Jack, five others attended the first meeting -- Tony and Jean DiGiovanni, Frank and Laurel Loiacono and Susan Casserino.
POINTers-In-Person General Information
POINTers In Person (or PIP for short) has approximately 28 Chapters scattered around the United States. The membership is over 4500 people in United States and many countries of the World. We are interested in Genealogy, and tracing our Italian ancestors.
Most of us grew up and live in the Rochester area and are meeting to help one another with our research. We meet about 6 times a year, on Saturday, 1-4 pm., most meetings are held at the Casa Italiana, at Nazareth College Campus. Click here to see our schedule.
