Rensselaer County Photographs Aaron Covey's son |
This photograph was contributed to this website by Shelley Cardiel. Shelley writes, "I've `rescued' an old photograph identified as the son of Aaron COVEY which was taken at the J. A. Sipperly Studio in Hoosick Falls, Hoosick town, Rensselaer County, New York. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880s, with the young boy likely to have been about 6 to 9 years old at the time the photograph was taken. A note on the back of the photograph indicates that the boy drowned, so this may well be a photograph which was given to family members on the occasion of his death, possibly a copy of an early photograph. I'm hoping to locate someone from this family so that this wonderful old photograph can be returned to his family. Shelley later added that she has passed the original of the photograph on to the Rensselaer County Historical Society.
