Rensselaer County Deaths in 1851 |
Deaths listed here are from "Vital Records of Rensselaer County, New York, Deaths, 1847-1851," edited by Milton Halsey Thomas, a pamphlet at the New York State Library in Albany. The records this pamphlet was transcribed from were found in about 1915 on loose sheets of paper in the cellar of the Rensselaer County Court House in Troy by Frank Warner Thomas, who made a draft of the material at that time. It was published in 1921. In the early part of 1922, an effort was made to locate the original records in the court house, but they were not found. Since many of the adults listed here were undoubtedly the subject of obituary notices, searchers are advised to consult the files of Troy and Lansingburgh papers.
