NELSON, Ralph. - Ralph Nelson, age 75, Tarpon Springs, Fla.,
died Wednesday at Helen Ellis Hospital in Florida. Born in Norway, he was a summer
resident of Middle Grove and a winter resident of Tarpon Springs. The widower of
Marie Nelson, Mr. Nelson was a machinist for the Fuller Brush Co. in Albany for many years.
Survivors include six stepdaughters, Patricia Mathusa of Oklahoma,
Dorothy Grenier of Delmar, Rosemary Caldwell of Mechanicville,
Charlotte Jones of Glenmont, Francis Thomas of Clifton Park, and
Margaret Earing of East Greenbush; a stepson, Charles T. Hart of Florida;
and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The funeral will be in
Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in the spring. A calling hour will be one hour prior
to the service Monday at the funeral home.

NEWCOMB, Simon. - Simon Newcomb died at 6 o'clock Wednesday evening at
the ripe age of 73 years. Mr. Newcomb was a native of Pittstown but has
been a resident of Lansingburgh for the past twenty years. Death results

Newton of Brunswick, husband of Marian Starks Newton; father of Clarence E.
Newton of RD 1 Troy, Donald A. Newton of Brunswick, and Mrs. Herbert Asbury
of Los Angeles, Calif.; brother of Berton Newton of Northfield, Mass.,
William C. Newton of Cleveland, Ohio, Leslie Newton of Troy, Mrs. Matthew Smith
of Springfield, Mass., and Mrs. Jay Knight of Troy; also survived by three
grandchildren. Funeral Tuesday at 1:30 p. m. at the Howard B. Tate & Son
Funeral Home in Raymertown and at 2 p. m. at the Gilead Lutheran Church of
Brunswick. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday, 3 - 5 and 7 - 9 p. m.
Interment in Memory's Garden. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made
