Rensselaer County Photographs Grace Burt and Lucy Burt |
These photographs were contributed to this website by Shelley Cardiel. Shelley writes, "I've 'rescued' two old photographs which belong to the BURT family of New York. The first is a photograph of Grace BURT which was taken at the HARDY & VAN ARNAM Studio in Troy, NY. A note on the back of the photograph states that she was born in 1885 between John and Lucy. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880s, with Grace looking to be about six months old at the time. The second is a photograph of Lucy BURT, taken at the same studio in Troy, NY, noting that she is about two years old at the time. I'd say this photograph was also taken in the 1880s, maybe at the same time that Grace's photograph was taken. I'm hoping to locate someone from this BURT family so that these wonderful old photographs can be returned to the family.
