Ferdinand Stritsman. 19 years old. Enlisted on 3/1/1863 at Sand Lake, NY as a private. On 3/1/1863 he mustered into "H" Co. NY 169th Infantry. He was mustered out on 6/15/1865 at hospital, Smithville, NC. Source: New York: Report of the Adjutant-General.

The front of this photo lists Pvt. Stritsman's name as Lorenze Stritsman. The back of the photo lists Pvt. Stritsman's name as Lorenzo Stritsman. The only place that refers to his name as Ferdinand Stritsman is the Adjutant-General's Report. Either of the two names may be a middle name.
