YATES, Adam. Searching for parents of Adam YATES b. ca 1828/29 probably in Rensselaer Co. His father may have been Abraham or Robert. Adam migrated west to CA ca1855 to Mariposa Co., was a merchant to the gold miners of that area. Would be interesting to find info. on how he arrived there - overland? or by ship? YOUNGHANS, Michael. Seeking children of Michael YOUNGHANS on 1820 Rensselaer Co. census. I am looking for the parents of Edward L. Younghanse, b. abt 1814 in NY. He came to AL in early 1840s. Michael has a male in my age category of interest in 1820. There were many corrupted "anglicized" spellings of the Germanic name. Junghans, on the 1800, 1810 and 1820 NY censuses, a few of which are Younkhouse, Youghans, Yonkhans Younhonce, Younghonce, Yonkhouse, and probably some I can't even imagine. 1298

YOUNGHAUS, Peter M. Seeking information on Peter M. YOUNGHAUS, who shared joint ownership of a cemetery plot at Oakwood Cemetery, Troy, NY, with Frank B. BARNFATHER.
