A major transcription project has placed online
more than 6,000 obituaries from newspapers (mostly Troy newspapers) published between
March 1890 and April 1895. These are at the website of the
Troy Irish Genealogy Society (TIGS). Those listed are not necessarily Irish and were
not necessarily employed by the Burden Iron Company, which compiled the records that
include these obituaries. Congratulations to the TIGS transcription team; well done, all!
