The last Will and Testament of Peter Bloomendale of the town of Greenbush in the county of Rensselaer.

I Peter Bloomendale considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound mind and memory (blessed by Almighty God for the same) do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following:

First I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Barbary my bedstead and bedding and the curtains I had of my mother to be kept by her for her own use and during her natural life. Also a maintenance out of the part of my real and personal property which I shall hereafter make to my son George either to live with him or where she pleases to live as long as she shall remain my widow and the same be the lieu of dower

Secondly I give and bequeath to my eldest son Moses P. Bloomendale a part of my farm on which I now live in the town of Greenbush (viz) sufficient land north of Snook Kill to make with what I have heretfore conveyed to him in all sixty two acres and to be set off next and adjoining lands heretofore so conveyed also one lot of woodland in the town of Sandlake containing twelve acres which I bought of John North

Thirdly I give and bequeath to my son George all the rest or residue of my farm at Greenbush being eighty acres of land together with house barn orchard and out buildings and appurtenances thereon also one lot of woodland in the town of Berlin containing ten acres which I bought of Theodore Childs also my Franklin and cook stoves

Fourthly I give and bequeath unto my daughter Caty wife of John W. Witbeck the sum of Four hundred dollars to be paid to her or her heirs one year after my decease by my sons Moses and George out of Real Estate also after the death of her mother Caty to have the bed bedstead bedding and curtains I made to my wife during her natural life

Fifthly I give and bequeath unto my daughter Rachel the sum of Five hundred dollars to be paid to her or her heirs by my sons Moses and George out of my real estate six months after my decease also one cow one yearling calf and three sheep and priviledge to remain in my house and to have a bedroom upstairs to herself during the time she shall remain a single woman. Her cow calf and sheep to be kept on my farm and kept at the expense of my son George during winter and summer with fodder and pasture and if said Rachel marries the said George to be free from keeping her cow calf and sheep and her priviledge in the house to cease and to give up the bedroom up stairs said Rachel at my decease to have one bed bedstead and bedding and the one half of the rest of my household and kitchen goods and George to have the other half of my household and kitchen goods and I do hereby further bequeath unto my son George all my farming utensils horses cows cattle sheep geese hens and everything of my personal property which may remain at my decease and do order and direct that my son George shall keep and support his mother and provide for her in sickness and health out of that part of my estate herein made to him during the time she shall remain my widow and that my son George during the time he shall maintain his mother shall have the use of twenty acres of cleared land of that part bequeathed to my son Moses next and adjoining to his land and where the same shall be the most convenient for his own use for tilling provided his mother shall abide and stand to this my Will

Lastly I do hereby appoint my two sons Moses and George and son-in-law John W. Witbeck my Executors of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made

In witness whereof I have set my hand and seal the 16th day of September 1828
