Last Will and Testament Patrick Carey of Troy |
The last will and testament of Patrick Carey of the City of Troy, County of Rensselaer
and State of New York
Being of sound mind at the time making and publishing this
my last Will and Testament, I [PATRICK CAREY] give and devise all my estate real
and personal whereof I may die seized or possessed to my beloved wife ELIZABETH CAREY
for the purpose first of paying my just debts and funeral expenses, and secondly
for her own support and that of my infant children, so long as she shall remain
my widow. And in case she marries again then the estate hereby given and devised
or so much thereof as may then remain to be equally divided between all my children
then living.
And I hereby nominate, constitute and appoint my said wife Elizabeth executor of
this my last will and testament.
In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal the
26th day of December Eighteen hundred and sixty.

The above written instrument was subscribed by the said Patrick Carey in our presence
and acknowledged by him to each of us and he at the same time, published and declared
the above instrument so subscribed to be his Last Will and Testament and we at the
testator's request and in his presence have signed our names as witnesses hereto
and written opposite our names our respective places of residence.
