The family came from Schodack, Rensselaer Co., N. Y.

Mr. and Mrs. Johnson Barger died at the home of their daughter, Mrs. Heman Coons of Summit. He died March 2, Mrs. Barger lived but 4 days after the death of her husband. Mr Barger was born at Summit Feb. 21, 1842. Mrs .Barger was born in Ohio in 1846.
They were married in December, 1867, and two children were born, Mrs. Heman Coons and Watson both survive them. Mr. Barger is survived by five sisters, Mrs. HelliJas, Mrs. George Clay, Mrs. E. Schoolmaster, and Mrs. William Reed. Mrs. Barger is survived by a sister and brother. Both were members of the Morseville M.E. Church. Both buried at Summit, N. Y. Mr. Barger was a man of fine character and will be greatly missed.
