Gridley-Stopplebeen Cemetery (we found a reference to this cemetery at the Cobleskill Library). The cemetery is located off NYS Rt. 145 near the Broome/Middleburg Twp. line on the E. side across from Woods Rd. Up behind the house that is there is a large stand of pine trees (Dec.2001). It is directly behind these pine trees in an overgrown woods. I copied the names that were visible on the markers. There are other markers – some buried and some too worn to read. Many just need to be uncovered. Some I didn’t get near because of the overgrowth. Kathryn Campbell
