Calvin Hallenbeck Called Home
Sunday morning the news spread that Calvin
Hallenbeck had passed away about 7 o'clock that morning. Mr. Hallenbeck had been in poor health for some time and the last fifteen days was helpless. He was
born at Franklinton seventv-two years ago and spent nearly his entire life in
that place with the exception of the last fifteen years which he had lived with his daughter, Mrs. Manley Crosby who has carefully cared for him.
He was a thorough Christian man and was always found upright in all his dealings. He united with the M.
E. church of Franklinton when a young man and always retained his member ship in that
church. While with his daughter in this village he was a loyal and faithful attendant of the M. E church This community has lost good man. The cause of his
death was old age and a general break down
Mr. Hallenbeck was twice married His first wife who died about thirty-five years ago was Miss Elizabeth Hazelton of Franklinton. His second wife, who died about nineteen years ago, was Anna Craw of Schuylerville He leaves one daughter, Mrs. Manley Crosby of this village, and one son, Charles Hallenbeck of Schenectady, who is now in Florida; also one brother, Warren Hallenbeck of this village His funeral was held at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Manley Crosby, this afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. A. J. Sunderland officiating. Burial at Franklinton.
