Mrs. Menzo Hallenbeck

Mrs. Menzo Hallenbeck, aged 67, a
highly respected member of this community passed away at her home on Cliff St.
Saturday May 14th as the result of a stroke that occured six weeks previous. She
had been in poor health for some time. Her maiden name was Emma Coventry and she
was born at Livingstonville. When a young girl her father Spencer Coventry,
worked the Borst farm in "The Hook." Thirty-five years ago she became
the wife of Menzo Hallenbeck. The past twenty-six years of her married life had
been passed in this village. her church interests were with the Baptists.
She is survived by one brother Clark Coventry of East Durham and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Bouck of this place and Mrs. Abram Lane of Catskill. The funeral took place Tuesday from her late home at 2:00 o'clock. Sermon by Rev. A. J. Sunderland. Burial in the Pine Grove Cemetery.
