Mrs. George (Alger) Schell obituary

Mrs. George Schell, aged 45 years, of Brooky Hollow, died Saturday, March 31. She had been in poor health for several years and died of consumption. Mrs. Schell was a daughter of Jesse H. Alger, deceased, and had always lived in Brooky Hollow. She was a woman domestic in her tastes, was a kind neighbor and held in high regard by all who knew her. Besides a husband she leaves five sons and one daughter of her immediate family, an aged mother, Mrs. Maria Alger, four brothers, Chas., Jacob, Geo. and Jesse, and two sisters, Mrs. Christian Chanz and Mrs. Mary Ann Zimmer, and a large circle of friends to mourn her death. her funeral was held at the school house on Monday, rev. Meek, officiating, and her remains were buried in the cemetery at Dutch Settlement.
