     Breakabeen, Oct. 8—Mrs. Mary Ellen Becker Rosecrans, wife of Washington B. Rosecrans, died at her home in this village Monday morning, Oct. 8, 1923, at the age of 70 years. Mrs. Rosecrans had been a very active woman until about two weeks ago, during which she had spells of indigestion which brought on heart failure. She was a devoted wife a true and loving mother, a much respected and beloved woman whose passing brings sorrow, not only to her family but to a host of friends.
     The funeral services will be held on Thursday at the Presbyterian church, of which she was a faithful member. She was also a member of the Missionary and Ladies Aid Societies from which she will be greatly missed.
     Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Dewitt of Fultonham; three daughters, Mrs. C. B. Bouck of -this place, Mrs. Arthur Zeh of Bainbridge, and Mrs. Mott Lawyer of Fultonham ; also by two brothers, Willis Becker of Kansas, and Henry Becker of Gallupville and one half brother, Harvey Van Buren of South Kortright.
