William Effner obituary

     William Effner, 67, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 1862 in Veterans' Hospital, Albany.
     Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2 P.M. at the Palmer and Shaylor Funeral Home, Middleburgh with the Rev. Bernard Harrison, pastor of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, West Middleburgh, officiating. Interment will be made in the Middleburgh Cemetery.
     Mr. Effner was born June 13, 1895 in Middleburgh, the son of Henry and Margaret (Rivenburg) Effner.
     Surviving are his wife, the former Gertrude Diamond; two daughters, Mrs. Joseph Sharkey and Mrs. Theodore Diamond, both of Middleburgh; two sons, William H. Effner of Schenectady and C. Thomas Effner of Middleburgh; a brother, Perry Effner and a half-brother, Walter Bevins, both of Middleburgh; a half-sister, Mrs. Thomas Tryon of Fultonham; 12 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
