Death Again Visits Our Community
William L. Hotaling
April 1924

     William L. Hotaling, at one time a resident of this place, died at Binghamton, Friday at the hospital, where he had been operated upon for rupture.
     He was a brother of our townsman, John Hotaling and was born in the town of Broome, 61 years ago. His remains were brought here Monday and were laid to rest in the Middleburgh cemetery.
     Mr. Hotaling is survived by his wife and three daughters. Mrs. Herbert Gnad and Mrs. Gardner Harding of Brooklyn and Miss Pauline Hotaling of Binghamton; two brothers, John of this place and Chauncey of the town of Broome and one sister, Mrs. Catherine Coons of this place.
