Elnathan Wixom (sometimes Wixon)
born in Kent, Dutchess co., NY on July 12, 1809, eldest
son (with 14 siblings) of George
& Mary Wixom of Dutchess co. who came to Covert,
Seneca co., NY in 1816.
Elnathan came to Hector, NY in 1828 to work for Caleb
Carman.
Married (1) on Feb. 12, 1836 to Lydia Carman (dau
of Caleb & Annie Carman)
who was born in Hector on Oct. 16, 1816 and died on
Jan. 20, 1841.
(Children by Lydia = Caleb, b. 1838 & Annie, b.
1840).
Married (2) Martha Carman (dau of William & Phebe
Carman)
who was born in Hector on Aug. 22, 1813.
(Children by Martha = William, b. 1845 & Charles
b. 1847).
