Abraham L. Snyder
Farmer & nusic teacher with
no formal training, he was
born in Hector, NY March 3,
1829, youngest son of Isaac & Sarah E. Snyder
who came from Knowlton, Sussex
co., NJ in 1823. (Now Warren co., NJ).
Abraham was married on Feb.
18, 1856 to Marion H. Van Court
(dau of Thomas and Maria) who
came from Hornellsville, Steuben co., NY in 1837,
where Marion was born Oct. 16,
1836. Five children of Abraham Snyder:
Joseph J. (b. 1856);
Katie E. (b. 1859, Mrs. Herman
Van Vleet of Lodi);
Ellsworth (b. 1864); Clarence
F. (b. 1866); Hermio L. (b. 1873).
