Know All men by these presents that I Joseph Bennett of the town of Tyrone in the County of Steuben & State of New York and Mary his wife in consideration of the Sum of  fifty dollars to me in hand paid by George Smith of the town County and State aforesaid the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge have bargained Sold quit claimed and by these presents do bargain sell and quit claim unto the said George and to his heirs and assigns forever, All right title interest Estate claim and demand both at Law and in Equity, and as well in possession as in Expectancy of in and to all that plot or piece of land lying and Situate in township number five in the first range of townships in the County and State aforesaid being fifty acres of the South part of lot number twenty eight reference being had to the Said land marked on a map on a certain deed given to Justus Bennett by Samuel S. Haight and others, Together with all and Singular the hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging, In witness whereof I heretofore set my hand and Seal this fifth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty eight.

State of New York     I John Sebring one of the Commissioners in and for said County to take the acknowledgment of deeds do certify that on the Seventeenth day of June 1828 personally appeared before me Joseph Bennett to me known to be the same person who Executed the within indenture and acknowledged that he Executed the Same for the uses and purposes therein Expressed, Let it be recorded.
