Seeking info on Joseph Hamilton Mc Laury & wife who owned farm on present day rte 17b directly across from Kinniebrook Trlr Park today.He owned farm
from mid 1800's,sold it to daughter Jane Hanna McLaury,"Jennie",who taught at & later ran Old Monticello Academy located in rear of present day Sheriffs Dept parking lot."Jennie" took care of her parents at farm & took in parents of Sanford T. Ostrom,whom she later married. Sanford T. Ostrom
was a CW vet,active in forming the Radcliffe GAR post in Monticello.His family owned a sawmill in Monguap Valley (Rte 17B today) on left just over Monguap River bridge going towards White Lake.He walked to NYC to
enlist at outbreak of CW,was Commandant of Fort Sills Nebraska after war before returning home & marrying Jennie."Jennie" Ostrom & her Ladies Guild were instrumental in erecting the CW monument that
stood for years on corner of Broadway & Jefferson Street,now across from gager diner on Broadway near parking lot.Sanford & "Jennie" believed buried in Monticello area,Joseph Hamilton & wife believed buried in "Old Covenenter Cemetary" in Bethel as thier son, Edward McLaury was Pastor at church in White Lake for many years in mid 1800's and raised a family there.Need any info at all on any of these related people,including location of "Old Covenenter Cemetary" in Bethel."Jennie" was an exremely
well known educator statewide and her funeral was extremely large but year I do not know year. Sanford died at the Old Soldiers home inBath Ny in 1920s after she died.

1827, wife Nancy ANDERSON. They also had 2 daughters, Sarah PETERS b.
abt 1830 & Amelia PETERS b. abt 1834. Possibly other children.
Children of Richard & Nancy PETERS are: Roswill E. PETERS b. 1853;
Fannie Rebecca PETERS, b. 1857 m. George L. KLINGER; Hannah Jane PETERS,
b. 1862. Three other children, Joseph, Elizabeth, & Hannah died

on Benjamin Franklin Denniston and his wife Alice (Purvis). They resided
in Hurleyville at one time. They had two daughters (Clara and Eloise)
and three sons (David, Charles, and George Childs). George Childs was
born 1887 and died 1958 - he was my grandfather. All three sons
