My Great-Great Grandfather was John Hanley. He was born on August 6, 1821 in Galway, Ireland and died March 12, 1898 in De Bruce, NY. He was married to Anne (Nancy) Clark. She was also born in Ireland on May 5, 1824 and died September 19, 1900 in Livingston Manor, NY. They had eight children who were all born in the town of Liberty, NY. They all settled in the town of Rockland in the county of Sullivan in New York, from the information I have in the 1875 census. All but one of their children including my Great-Great Grandparents are buried in Liberty, NY, my Great-Great Grandparents' original first town since coming over from Ireland as imigrants. They are buried in the St. Peters Catholic Cemetary in Liberty, NY. We have ongoing family disagreement about whether the name is HENDRICKS or HENDRICKSON. Census records seem to alternate between the 2 names. I believe Mary's father may have been a John S. (This is an update to a query posted 1/12/99) Researching the surname HERBISON in Fallsburgh; 1855-1900. Looking for information about Robert HERBISON and family. Robert and his wife Eliza McFetridge Herbison immigrated from Ireland in Dec. 1855 on the ship Bridgewater, port of New York. They were living in Fallsburgh by 1861, but at some point they may have lived in Woodbourne. Their third son, Hugh, was born in Fallsburgh, Jan. 2, 1861. 8 other children were also born in Fallsburgh: Robert Jr., Martha, Mary, Andrews, James, William, Elizabeth, & Samuel. Robert died in 1899 and Eliza in 1901. Both are buried in Fallsburgh. Hugh Herbison left New York before 1884, at which time he was married to Rosa Bley in West Point, NE.

Jacob Hornbeck (b abt 1817) married Sophia Tompkins (b abt 1828) on or about 1844/45. They show up in a church document as joining the Reformed Dutch Church of Grahamsville in 1845. Jacob is listed as son of ELEAZER HOORNBEEK. Also on same page of church document is a Hanna (Rosekrans) Hoornbeck, wife of Eleazer. From other research, this Jacob died in civil war and Eleazer fought in War of 1812. Children of Jacob and Sophia were Olive, Lewis, Eugene, Mary, Leonard, Rosalie. Sarah Tatlor COUNTRYMAN in 1850 in Sullivan Co., NY (possibly in Liberty twp.). Need identity of the parents of John V. HUSTED-- -possibly Noah; Susan HUSTED of Delaware Co., NY until 1862. Grandparents may have been Joseph; Lovina HUSTED of Hancock twp, Delaware Co., NY. Resp., Vern in FL
