Elmira Welsh Congregational Church

In the mid-1860s Welsh settlers from Pennsylvania's Susquehannah Valley migrated north to settle in Elmira, Chemung County, New York. Others came directly from Wales. In 1874 a Welsh Congregational church was formed in Elmira. By January 1875 it had 25 members but no minister. It is not known if this congregation built a house of worship. No images of the church have been located.
