The above two-volume set of books does contains an index in the beginning of volume 1 only. The following listing identifies those biographical sketches contained in Volume 1. The "Page Nos." columns give the starting and ending page numbers on which each sketch can be found. Where there is a "Yes" then a photo of the individual in the biographical sketch can also be found in the volume. Pictures are usually found within the page range of the sketch unless otherwise  ted in the "Comments" column.

Please  te that this book is often called a "mug book". According to Rhonda R. McClure, genealogist and writer: "Mug books are those published county and town histories that were published in the late 1800s to the early 1900s. Those families and individuals highlighted in the book usually were there because they were the more prominent citizens."
