Westchester Military Veterans and their Interments

The following is a listing of interments of just a handful of residents who served in the military during the Revolutionary War. It is by no means complete. The names in the list below are linked to the Internet sources found for these deaths and burials.

| Ebenezer Ward Finney | 4 NY Regiment | died 1822. Buried in Old Finneytown Cemetery, Finneytown, Ohio |
| John Paulding | One of three militiamen who captured Major André. Other two were: David Williams and Isaac van Wart | Paulding died on February 18, 1818 and was buried with full military honors at St. Peter's Church near Peekskill, New York. |
| John Strange | 3 Regt Westchester Co. Militia | died 1840 and buried in Russell Cemetery, Knox county, Illinois |
| lsaac van Wart | One of three who captured Major André. Other two were: John Paulding and David Williams | He died on May 23, 1828 and was buried with full military honors at the Presbyterian Cemetery at Greenburgh, New York, near Tarrytown. |
| David Williams | One of three who captured Major André. Other two were: John Paulding and Isaac van Wart | He died in Broome on August 2, 1831 and was buried at Livingstonville, New York. |
| Samuel Youngs | served as a Lieutenant in Colonel Weisenfel’s Infantry Regiment | died on September 12, 1839, and originally buried in the Old Dutch Church in North Tarrytown. His body was removed to Dale Cemetery in 1851. |
