am searching for Peter DOYLE and Ellen McMANUS with son Philip Andrew DOYLE, who moved to Spuyten Duyvil from Co Tyrone, Ireland sometime after 1842 and then moved down to lower Manhattan by 1861. I have been unable to tell where on the US Census Rolls for 1850 and 1860 that Spuyten Duyvil (the village) shows up. Do you know if there are NY state census that would fit that time period? I live near Seattle, which has an archives for US Census. I have already spent hours pouring over the census rolls, but I was hoping for a clue as to where the villages records are. Thank you Eva Doherty Gremmert Carnation WA
