• Palmerston North city archives hold Palmerston North city council and community organisation records.

• Palmerston North City Library has a collection of online databases including an Ancestry.com library subscription. They also have historical newspapers and a range of New Zealand-specific and local genealogical resources in print and/or microfiche form.

• The Massey University library has a wide variety of books, jornals and ephemera relating to local and New Zealand history.
