Sheep in the Southern Division - South Canterbury, New Zealand in 1892 and 1893

    We don't earmark pet lamds or sell them to the works.
We don't usually ear mark the pet lambs. The wether lambs are sent to the works. About 20 years ago the law changed and now earmark brands are not registered.

The annual sheep returns in the AJHR after 1878 are the best guide to the approximate dates of changes of ownership.
