aptain Langlands, of the Timaru, has favored us with the following: "The Timaru was built at St Johns, Newfoundland, in January, 1865. Her tonnage is 883 tons register, with a carrying power power of 1700 tons. Her length over all is 175 feet, depth of hold 23 feet, with a beam pf over 34 feet. She is owned by Messrs Potter, Wilson and Co., of Glasgow. She sailed from London on the 31st July and made Port Chalmers in 99 days from land to land.
