AFRICAN AMERICAN
IN OHIO RECORDS
General Isaac R. Sherwood, (1835-1925, Toledo, Ohio), had written about
a malutto boy who he helped escape to his freedom. The boys name was
Alfred Jackson. If you give me your mailing address, I would like to
contribute this story to your webpage for others to read, enjoy and
perhaps, someone who can help me get more information pertaining to him.
It's quite a story. And another story that my great grandmother wrote
regarding the name of a Chaplain William Miles, who I think settled and
died in Sandusky, Ohio. I will contribute that one as well.
