ROCKHILL DIES A WEEK AFTER SKULL IS FRACTURED Injuries from a fall, received last Tuesday , resulted in the death of Robert N. Rockhill , 80, retired farmer, at his home 826 E. High-St, early Tuesday morning. While attempting to climb into a farm wagon, as he was assisting his son to convey an engine on the Marion Rd, the end gate of the wagon became unfastened, precipitating Rockhill to fall to the macadam road. He suffered a fracture of his skull and blood had been flowing from his ears since the accident. He was born July 10, 1840 in Rockport, Monroe-tp. For some years he has resided in Lima. He is survived by his widow and two sons, A. R. Rockhill and C. W. Rockhill both of Lima and five grand-children. Prayer services will be held at the residence Thursday at 12:30 o'clock. The body will be conveyed overland to Rockport where funeral services will be held in the Methodist church a 2 0'clock. Interment will be in Rockport. Note: Robert Newton Rockhill was the son of Samuel Rockhill and Mary Frances Peacock.  who settled in Ohio in 1835 They settled in Monroe Township Putnam Co. When the boundary   was shifted to Allen County. Samuel settled Rockport and was  Allen County Commissioner
