SAMUEL LANNING 

Samuel Lanning, 80 year old ward of the Allen-co home. died 
at 10:00 p.m. Saturday. The body was taken to the Cantwell
Funeral Home. Burial in Rockport Methodist Cemetery Monroe Twp
*Notes: The Allen County Home for the Infirm was for elderly people who
became 
wards of the court  due to lack of funds,  illness , or no one to care for
them. 
It closed some time in the 1960's
