"Jack" Roeder Lima News Lima, O(hioDecember 16, 2008 - 5:36PM Spencerville: William A. "Jack" Roeder, 92, died at 8:05 a.m. Dec. 16, 2008, at St. Rita's Medical Center.He was born April 21, 1916, in Amanda Township to Mathew and Stella Nungester Roeder, who preceded him in death. On Sept. 12, 1939, he married Maxine R. Buti, who died Feb. 9, 1999 Mr. Roeder retired as a lineman from Ohio Power Co. and was a member of its retirees club. He was a 50-year member of Lodge 306 Free & Accepted Masons, Spencerville. He was a member of the Allen County and National Horseshoe Pitching associations He was an avid horseshoe pitcher and won several tournaments. Survivors include two sons, Richard Ronald (Sharon) Roeder, of Spencerville, and Randall Lee (LuAnn) Roeder, of Stryker; a daughter, Marsha Jean (Charles) Sunderland, of Spencerville; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a sister, Martha (Joseph) Rohrbach, of Spencerville. He was preceded in death by a brother, Wilbur Roeder; two sisters, Sylvia Trippy and Mildred Long; and two granddaughters. There will be no public services or visitation. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date in Spencerville Cemetery. Arrangements are by Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.
