Paul M. Dahmen


CORTLAND — Paul M. Dahmen, 38, of Fowler Township, died Wednesday (April 4, 2001) at his parent’s home.

He was born Nov. 28, 1962 in Warren, son of William C. and Jane Katherine Foust Dahmen.

He was employed by Bockelman’s Landscaping. He was a 1981 graduate of Matthews High School and enjoyed hunting, especially raccoon hunting.

In addition to his parents, he leaves a daughter, Lisa Katherine Dahmen of Lisbon; a son, Joshua Michael Dahmen, of the home; a sister, Debra Jane Clark of Greenville, Penn.; three brothers, Howard W. Dahmen of Lore City, Richard C. Dahmen of Strongsville and William C. Dahmen, Jr. of Edwardsburg, Mich.

Friends and family may call 11 a.m. to 1p.m. prior to the 1 p.m. service at Shafer-Winans & Lamar Funeral Home in Cortland.

Burial will be in Dugan Cemetery in Fowler Township.

Kathryn O'Neil

CADIZ — Kathryn Pauline Skinner O’Neil, 79, of Akron and formerly of Cadiz and Las Vegas, Nev., died Monday (April 9, 2001) at Akron City Hospital.
She was born Jan. 9, 1922, in Trimble, daughter of the late John and Lucille Jewett Skinner.
She was a member of the First Church of God of Cadiz.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John W. O’Neil, and an infant brother.
She leaves two sons, John L. O’Neil of Burbank, Calif., and James L. O’Neil of Cadiz; a daughter, Susan Greene of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; two brothers, Rex and Tom Skinner, both of Akron; a sister, Janice Walker of Akron; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, where services will be 1 p.m. Thursday the Rev. Samuel Betts officiating.
Burial will be in Cadiz Union Cemetery.

Harry C. Miley

CALDWELL — Harry C. Miley, 94, of Mt. Ephraim, died Monday (April 9, 2001) at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

He was born March 2, 1906, in Buffalo Township, Noble County, son of the late Harmon and Clara Russell Miley.

He was a retired employee of Noble Local Schools having worked as a bus driver and custodian at Mt. Ephraim School; had worked as an agent for Patrons Buckeye Mutual Insurance Co. in Cumberland and had owned and operated a family farm in Seneca Township for many years. He was a graduate of Mt. Ephraim High School and a member of Mt. Ephraim United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lura Danford Miley, on March 2, 1951; and four brothers, Howard, Warren, Walter and Carl Miley.

He leaves three daughters, Mrs. Clyde (Twila) Archer of Caldwell, Mrs. Dwight (Patsy) Davis of Stockport and Mrs. Art (Barbara) Smith of Caldwell; two grandsons; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home where services will be 1 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Ralph Summer officiating.

Burial will be in Mt. Ephraim Cemetery.
