HALL, MCCONNELL posted by Jadean Hopper on Wednesday, September 10, 1997

HALL I am researching the HALL surname.  I have a direct line ancestor, Sarah Jane HALL who married Hiram Frank MCCONNELL.  Sarah Jane may have resided in Belmont County, Ohio with her parents before her marriage to Frank.  I do not have much on Sarah Jane.  I would like to be able to go further back on this line. Is there any one who is researching the HALL surname either in Belmont Co., Harrison Co. or Tuscarawas Co. Ohio?  I would like to have any data on the surname that I can gather.  So even if the name Sarah Jane isn't familiar I would like to recieve data on the HALL surname.  Maybe later a connection can be made between my line and someone elses. Thank you to anyone who can help.  I can be reached at jadean46@aol.com Thanks again,

Ephraim.  Michael and Margaret KELLAR's parents were Michael and Catherine (MONROE) KELLAR m. in Stafford Co., Va.  Will share what I have.

Seek burial site of John SHAY, d. ca. 1825 Belmont Co. Possibly Sewellsville Methodist?  Have visited that cemetery, no stone.  Are records for that church extant, with possibly a specific death date? Does someone have access? Also will correspond with BRYSON and FRIZZELL researchers tied to Belmont Co.  Noticed these names in court records, cem. markers there.

CALDWELL, STEENROD posted by Augusta Eller on Sunday, September 28, 1997

The 1830 Belmont County, OH census lists a family headed by a man named Cornelius STEENROD.  The family consisted of one male, one female, and 3 young daughters.  One daughter is believed to have been Rebecca STEENROD born April 12, 1818.  This information I obtained from a book on the STEENROD family.  I believe my gr gr gr grandmother Mary STEENROD may have been one of the other daughters based on her age in the census.  She was born November 24, 1824. Does anyone recognize this family?  Cornelius STEENROD was born after 1785 and his wife was about the same age.  He appears in the 1830 Belmont County census but does not appear in the 1840 or later censuses.  He was the son of Cornelius STEENROD born about 1760 in North Salem, NY died in 1823 in Wheeling, (W)VA. and Mary Elizabeth CALDWELL. I am interested in anything I can find on this family. Thanks in advance, Augusta Eller aeller@delphi.com also aeller@prodigy.net
