He is the son of Johann Heinrich MAASBERG a Hessian Soldier during the American Revolution and Elizabeth GEISPERT as proven by church records from the Evangelical Christian Church. He is the brother of Henry Mossburg b 20 September 1786, Daniel b 19 July 1789, Johannes b 15 April 1791, Abraham b 27 January 1793, Johann Andreas b 1795, Anne Marie b 20 December 1787.

His military record says that he is 40 years old in in 1863. I am looking for Davids father and I have a hunch that it is Peter Israel of belmont Couny,Ohio. He married Elizabeth Barcus in 1825 and in 1830 the census says that they have 5 children 2 under 5 and 3 5-10 years old. My question is where did he go in 1840. I do not see the name Peter Israel anywhere in Ohio. My ggrandmother was Jesse Beeson HANSON who died around 1909. She had four sons James HANSON, Harold HANSON, Kenneth HANSON and Herbert HANSON. All are deceased. Jesse is buried at Riverview cemetary. Would like to know more info on the BEESON family.

Hoping to find Leonidas Hameline COUTZ, (my great-great grandfather), His wife Malessa (RHONE) Coutz, I have no information on other then having been born in Hundred, WV. Have not had any success in researching him. One of their sons, John W. Coutz Sr. (d. July 12, 1945 in Bellaire) was my great grandfather. (One of his sons, Elmer Nelson Coutz (d. June 27, 1975 in Bellaire) was my grandfather). On John Coutz's death certificate, it has the father as Hamilton Coutz, I don't know if that is the same person or not.

Looking for any information on Henry BURKETT (my great-great grandfather), whose wife is Minnie (HEIZER)Burkett died on Oct. 13, 1922 in Bellaire, Ohio. Her obit. states five children survive: Charles Burkett and Fritz Burkett of Wheeling, WV; Henry Burkett (d. July 19, 1931 in Bellaire), Herman Burkett (my great grandfather) (d. Dec. 8, 1936 in Shadyside), and Mrs. Phillip (Carolyne) EBELING all of Bellaire. Minnie's obit states that her husband Henry died "several years ago". Can not seem to track him down though. He brought tobacco with him and planted the first tobacco in the Ohio Valley. He was an abolitionist. He later moved to Leatherwood (John Reed's neighborhood) purchasing a farm later occupied by great?grandson George Jackson. He was a drummer boy in the War of 1812 for Delaware Militia After the war of 1812 he moved to Denton, Md & Cambridge, MD. John Thompson married Sarah Ann Morgan b.1806/7 in MD.
