History of the “Calvary Cemetery”
The

Trinity (1852-1860) The records of the
cemetery can be found at the Holy Family Parish. The cemetery was known as Holy Trinity Cemetery from at least
1876- July 1911. After that time the
cemetery was referred to as Calvary. On
the USGS “GNIS” recording the cemetery refers to the cemetery as the “Catholic
Cemetery” in Middletown.
The Holy Family Church formed from Holy Trinity, St
John and St Mary parishes. The two worship
centers for this parish are Holy Trinity Chapel and St John Chapel.
