Major James MONTGOMERY, a native of Cumberland County, Pennsvlvania, died at Oxford, Ohio, August 18, 1844, in the 67th year of his age. In memory of James R. HUGHES, for fourteen years a ruling elder in the First Presbyterian Church of Oxford, who died August 8, 1839; aged 46. Phebe, wife of Dr. J. R. HUGHES, born March 31, 1801; died December 24, 1833.
