Clark County Genealogical
Ways You Can Help
If you live near Springfield, we can always use some help in the office which is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. We always have obituaries that need to be filed, membership files to update, and visitors with questions. Since our office is inside the Fisher Family Library and Archives, you can combine a little research for yourself into your trip downtown. We also need some volunteers who are familiar with computers, especially spreadsheet and database programs for future projects.
If you don't live near us, you can help by providing information related to your Clark County ancestors that we can make available to other researchers. This could include obituaries, marriages, charts, trees, etc. that can be added to our files which are available to researchers in our office. If you haven't submitted an ancestor chart, or need to update yours, please consider sending us any charts (no GedComs please) related to Clark County. We print one or two charts in each newsletter, and hope to publish a separate book of charts eventually. For the computer or HTML savvy folks, you can scan and email your charts, download Word, WordPerfect, Excel templates for charts, or if you know HTML, you can use one the HTML forms available online, and email it to the Prez or the webmaster. Otherwise, just mail your charts to us at: P.O. Box 2524, Springfield, OH 45501-2524.
